At Budget Vets we have been firmly committed to working with the local communities our practices are based in since opening our first in Newport over a decade ago.
Our community work involves working with residents, schools, voluntary organisations and local charities.
Hope Rescue is one such local charity. Since 2005, Hope have worked tirelessly to improve the welfare of dogs in South Wales. Their dedicated team rely on the support of volunteers and donations and Budget Vets have forged a strong relationship by providing our help and assistance whenever called upon.
Earlier this month we donated a set of dog scales and a cheque for £150 to Hope Rescue. The scales will enable the Hope team to monitor the weight of the dogs they look after as they visit different sites and for us to prescribe the necessary treatment and medication.
Frank the Tank, an adorable temporary resident at the Kennels and Alison Ling the rehoming coordinator for Hope Rescue couldn’t wait to try out the new scales when we delivered them.
Kate Richards, Territory Manager of Budget Vets said, “We have built strong links with our local communities and thoroughly enjoy working with all of the individuals involved. The Hope Rescue team provide an invaluable service and we are proud to continue to support them, which wouldn’t be possible without the support of our own clients and companies we are supported by such as Vet Direct and Vetplus who both supported this donation.’’
